Toot your horns! It's official...Spellbound Ceremonies is recognised as one of the most inclusive wedding suppliers in the UK.

From a list of more than 400 non-traditional UK wedding suppliers, Spellbound Ceremonies was shortlisted for TWO Quirky Wedding Awards... the Highly Commended Award for Accessibility and Inclusion, and the Trailblazing Celebrant Award.

At a glitter-tastic ceremony in Birmingham, I received the Highly Commended Award for Accessibility and Inclusion.

I am so proud that my ceremonies create a safe, inclusive space....I'm a LGBTQ+ inclusive wedding celebrant, who prioritises accessibility, too. And I want everyone to know it!

What the Quirky Wedding Awards Represent

The Quirky Wedding Awards celebrate wedding suppliers who bring something unique and meaningful to the industry. Unlike traditional awards that focus solely on style or scale, these awards highlight qualities like creativity and inclusivity.

What You Can Expect When Working with me

Accessibility and inclusion are not optional extras but essential parts of modern wedding planning.

When you work with me, I will create an inclusive, welcoming space for LGBTQ+ folks by:

  • Telling you my pronouns (she/her)

  • Asking if you will let me know yours, so I can use the right ones.

  • Working with you to create a ceremony that makes you feel comfortable and celebrated.

  • Proudly talking about my allyship and celebrating LGBTQ+ joy.

  • Undertaking further inclusion training.

With regards to accessibility, I always:

  • Include alt-txt and image descriptions on all of my digital content to make it accessible.

  • Include captions and subtitles on video content.

  • Ensure that I use sufficient colour contrast on all of my content.

  • Structuring my content correctly so it is usable for people with screen readers and assistive technology.

  • Ask if couples (or any wedding guests) have any accessibility requirements.

  • Liaise with venues to ensure that they are disability-friendly.
