Looking for the best festival wedding venues in the North West?
All within reach of Manchester, these three top festival wedding venues are all very different to each other. They have everything you need for a colourful, free-spirited celebration right here in the North West, come rain or shine.
My top three festival wedding venues in the North West
1) The Stables Wedding Farm, Delph
Set in the beautiful rolling hills of Saddleworth in Greater Manchester, The Stables Wedding Farm has the most incredible view from their ceremony space. You can have your celebrant-led ceremony (hosted by me!) with the spectacular peaks standing proud in the background. Dreamy.
This fantastic family-run venue boasts an ENORMOUS party marquee, and you can involve the sweet-natured farm animals in your wedding photos.
This family-run venue is set into a picturesque hillside, with the bar set up in an actual stable. Plus, there are gorgeous 'hobbit houses' for glamping onsite. The owners, Mark and Deb, are well-known for their warmth and kindness. Plus, they'll give you a lift up the hillside in the quirky 'Just Married' golf buggy so you can capture iconic hilltop wedding photos. What's not to love?

2) Swanley Meadows, Congleton
Swanley Meadows really is something special. Their pristine (and huge) tipis are situated in a secluded, wooded valley, overlooking Bosley cloud and the rest of the Chesire countryside. You and your guests can choose to glamp or camp onsite for the weekend, partying the night away under the night sky.
At Swanley Meadows, their ceremony space is set up in at the foot of a stunning 200 year old elm tree (see the picture below), which means that your wedding photos will look absolutely awesome. It's a joy to host celebrant ceremonies for nature-loving couples in the shade of this statuesque tree.
They have so many options available to you, from wild, bohemian festival weddings, to chic countryside celebrations...pick your vibe, and go for it! This family-run team goes the extra mile to ensure that everything is absolutely perfect for your big day, and they can offer recommendations for fantastic local suppliers.

3) Rylands Farmhouse, Wilmslow
Set in a historic farmhouse, Rylands Wedding Tipi is a wedding venue and boutique hotel all in one. They offer 12 gorgeous rooms, so there's space for all your VIPs to stay over. On the morning of your wedding, you can get ready in the serene farmhouse with your wedding gang, and step out straight into the venue.
With festoon lighting, the big hat tipi itself is bright and airy, featuring rustic, exposed wooden beams; the perfect canvas for your chosen wedding theme. Just the spot for your celebrant ceremony!
It's handily located nearby Manchester Airport, so if you have international guests joining the celebrations, it will take them no time at all to zip over to Rylands. Easy peasy.
Their friendly team are on hand to help guide you through planning your big day.
