It's important to know that all celebrants are different and they offer different services included in their pricing. There isn't 'one size fits all'.
You'll find celebrants of all descriptions online, at wedding fairs and in wedding supplier directories. Some suit a more formal style of wedding, whereas others (like me!) align with a more quirky, non-traditional vibe.
A celebrant's pricing may be reflective of:
the amount that's included in their celebrant package;
whether they have relevant accreditation or experience;
their geographical location;
the demand for their celebrant service.
You'll see everything from super cheap/ basic packages up to very high-end, deluxe services at the opposite end of the price range. As with all types of wedding suppliers, travel costs will usually need to be taken into account (although these should be pretty minimal in the grand scheme of things).
The juicy parts of your celebrant booking
Using Spellbound Ceremonies as an example, when you book a celebrant-led wedding ceremony with me, you can expect:
A 15 minute no-obligation call/ video chat to see if we work well together. You can ask me any questions and I get to hear all about your wedding plans.
A couple's questionnaire: This is the foundations upon which your ceremony script is built. If you prefer, you can complete this yourselves, or we can do it as a team activity, on a call or in person.
Meetings to deep dive into what you want from your ceremony; to understand the energy of your relationship and your big celebration.
A free consultation about symbolic rituals such as hand-fasting, candle/ wine ceremonies and jumping the broom. Do you want to include any of these? There's no right answer...it's your day, we'll be doing it your way.
A ceremony script written by an internationally published author (me!) which tells YOUR story. It's giving main character energy.
Help with finding readings/ music (if you want them) and writing your vows.
Someone on hand to be your wedding pal- chat about any stresses you've got and come up with ideas if needed.
Suggestions about other trustworthy wedding suppliers.
Joyful delivery of an upbeat ceremony that zings with happy energy.
You can also add on optional extras such as a customised wedding certificate, a personalised poem and a wedding ceremony rehearsal (if it's possible to schedule this in).
